Redeveloping a Website
When a large, St. Louis non-profit sought to revamp its aging Website, Casey Communications rose above the competition to meet the challenge. Casey impressed board members during the competitive bidding phase with an honest assessment of the organization’s dire internal and external communication needs – ultimately winning the website redevelopment.
The organization’s website was initially launched eight years prior but had suffered from benign neglect, providing little current information to the public due to fractured internal lines of communication and the learning gap that accompanied HTML coding. Casey quickly assembled a task force comprised of both organization leaders and external creative thinkers and technology experts. Together, they established an 18-month website redevelopment plan to facilitate internal information flow and establish a more user-friendly content-managed interface. Casey Communications took the lead in revising navigational structure and creating new content, working individually with each entity to discover and apply the possibilities on the retooled site. Casey also helped design an ongoing training program to facilitate organizational communication and cooperation beyond the scope of the initial site launch.
Within days of re-launching, the new Web site surpassed the previous average of monthly visits from unique users by more than twenty-fold and continued to grow from there. Users affiliated with the non-profit reported a great level of satisfaction with the new site and heightened their personal involvement in maintaining pages for future use. Casey Communications has since been recognized with awards for superior execution of the Website redevelopment, including a Hermes Creative Award and a MarCom Gold Award.
